Subtitle timing error

I have an avi (XviD) and an associated .ass file. Perian is consistently chopping subtitle lines off one frame early. Here's a piee of timecode in the file in question: Dialogue: 0,0:01:38.44,0:01:40.70 etc... On various other OSes/players, the last frame to display this subtitle line is 0:01:40.70. Perian is only displaying the line through 0:01:40.68. They are generating the subtitle files using Aegisub and getting good results with their codecs. Oddly enough my build of mplayer is doing the same 1-frame early cuts. Perhaps this is an issue with an implementation of the SSA code...

Am informed that similar error has shown up in Windows player also using .ass subtititles. Perhaps this should be forwarded to the folks who write the subtitle code.
