a matroska file with some ASS(advanced substation alpha) subtitle track makes quicktime player freeze.(1.1b1) I attach one mkv file with only a short ass subtitle track.

Since I faithfully reproduced VSFilter, we can't play subtitles without a video track. I guess that might be a bug?

Anyway, I'll check the ass itself.

Oh, I am sorry, I didn't make myself clear. You have to mux this ass track and a video track and make a muxed mkv file(with a utility like mkvtoolnix - mkvmerge) to make QuickTime freeze.

oh, it will still be slow if PlayRes? is set to something very small, since it will try to linebreak at every character

so don't do that
