QTX message: "The document “X.mkv” could not be opened. QuickTime Player cannot open files of this type."

Well, the OS has been released and obviously this problem still persists. Perhaps we could be slightly less pedantic and put an explanation here :( I mean, I assume that the devs aren't going to rush a patch to fix something like this, but maybe there's a workaround in the meantime?
